How do Regional Bonus Points work?

You do not need to do anything:

• If you are completing the 2012 Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate (IB) and live or study in the Greater Western Sydney region you will automatically receive five Bonus Points when you apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) to study at UWS
• If you are a non-current school leaver (not completing the 2012 Australian Year 12 or IB at the time of applying for university) and live in the Greater Western Sydney region, you will automatically receive five Bonus Points when you apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) to study at UWS
• Bonus Points apply to all UWS courses, excluding Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), MBBS/Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Music

Triple Advantage Conditions:

• Applicants who qualify for the Regional Bonus, Subject Bonus and Educational Access Scheme (EAS) Points can only receive a maximum of 10 bonus points in total
• The UWS Early Offer Opportunity and Subject Bonus Points are not available to non-current school leavers (that is persons who are not completing the Australian Year 12 or IB at the time of applying for university)
• Students do not need to live in the Greater Western Sydney region to receive Subject Bonus Points
• Subject Bonus Points are not available for all UWS courses
