Bachelor of Arts (Dean's Scholars)
A Bachelor of Arts from UWS will enable you to be anything and achieve everything, especially through the new Dean's Scholars program. Offered to exceptional students, this program will provide you with the opportunity to participate in a tailored mentoring and advanced academic study program. Throughout the degree you'll develop a superior knowledge and confidence so you'll graduate a 'step ahead in your career'.
This program has been designed to extend your knowledge and understanding of key disciplines within the Bachelor of Arts. Throughout the degree, you will be invited to participate in the academic and research life of the College of Arts including presenting at symposia and academic seminars. Through regular meetings with the Executive Dean and senior Leadership staff at the College of Arts, we will help you plan your studies and opportunities to explore further advancement at UWS.

Duration
3 years full-time or equivalent part-time.
Note: 'part-time' refers to study load, not to timetabling of evening classes.
Practical experience
Students will have the opportunity to participate in approved practicum or internship subjects and/or receive advanced standing (in cases where experience is directly relevant to course of study).
Professional recognition
Completion of the Psychology key program will fulfil the NSW Psychologists Registration Board and Australian Psychological Society (APS) requirements for a three-year sequence in psychology.
Completion of a fourth year will satisfy the educational requirements for conditional registration as a psychologist-in-training with the NSW Psychologists Registration Board and the Associate Membership requirements of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Both bodies require a further two years of supervised experience as a psychologist before granting full registration and membership.

Any two units of English.
Additional Selection Criteria
This course is made available to high-achieving students only. To be eligible for admission to the B Arts (Dean's Scholars), a student must attain a minimum UAI of 90.
Students must maintain a grade point average of 5 or above to remain in the course. Those who do not maintain this average will be transferred to the Bachelor of Arts.
